My mate wants me to teach her guitar. I'm a lead guitarist 4 years experience but just dnt know how to teach?

Should I get a guitar-teaching guide that I can follow to teach her (rather than just rudely giving her a guide instead of spending time with her, which I'd like to do anyway :) :) ) or...should I work out myself how I'm gonna teach her?
