Is there an easy way of finding a uni course with low UMS marks?

Basically i didn't do as well as i should have in my Alevels last summer. i got an unconditional offer to a uni and defered the place. now i no longer want to do the course and think that the uni is far to far away from home. but bacause i did quite badly it doesn't look too hopeful finding a course that has lower entry requirements. i didn't fulfill my potential so my grades don't reflect my ability. Is there anything I can do to find a course and try and apply for 2008 entry?
