Handheld SewQuick by Singer.ONLY for those who have used one.?

So im really into sewing but don't have a big sewing machine. This looked inexpensive and way easier than a big one anyways. I tried to use it but the stitch came right out :/ I read the manual and t said ill have to handsew the end or something in order to make it tight which I haven't tried yet. My question. I make my own clothes. Would this be fit for helping me make my own clothes such as dresses. Corsets. Shirts...stuff like that...if I handsew the end just like it said? Or would the stitching still be loose to the point where I couldn't wear my creation? I want to make the WHOLE outfit using this machine....possible or no?
